Your questions, answered straight

Everything dealers and manufacturers ask about the 3D builder, pricing, leads, marketing, phones, and getting set up: 30 questions and counting.

The 3D Builder

What exactly does the 3D configurator do?

It lets your customers design their building on your website (width, length, leg height, roof style, colors, doors, windows, and options) while watching a 3D preview and a live price update with every click. When they're done, the design lands in your pipeline as a quote with their contact information attached.

Does it use my real prices or a generic template?

Your real prices, always. We digitize your actual price sheets, including options, certifications, surcharges, and regional differences, so the builder quotes exactly what your sales team would quote. Your margins stay exactly where you set them.

Will it work on my existing website?

Yes. The builder embeds into any website, or runs on its own page under your domain. If you don't have a website yet, we can stand up a landing page for you as part of setup.

Does it work on phones?

It's built mobile-first, because most building buyers shop from a phone. Designing, pricing, and submitting all work with thumbs on a small screen.

Can customers see certified vs. non-certified pricing, wind and snow ratings?

Yes. Certification options, wind/snow ratings, and any state-specific requirements are part of your pricing logic, so buyers see the right options and the right prices for their install location.

What does the customer see when they finish? Can they order right there?

You choose. The builder can end with a saved quote and a callback promise, a deposit payment, or a full checkout. Most dealers start with quote-plus-follow-up and turn on deposits once they trust the numbers.

Pricing & Price Books

How do price updates work when a manufacturer sends a new sheet?

You upload the new sheet (or email it to us). It's stored as a new version with effective dates, and every quote from that moment prices off the new numbers. Old quotes keep the price they were quoted at. No surprises for customers holding a valid quote.

I carry multiple manufacturers. Can it handle that?

That's one of the main reasons we built this. Every manufacturer in your network lives in the system with their own price books, discounts, surcharges, fees, and commission structures, and you can price the same building against different manufacturers to win on price, lead time, or service area.

Can I add my own dealer margin on top of manufacturer pricing?

Yes. Dealer discounts, markups, document fees, processing fees, permit fees, and labor fees are all configurable, and you control which of them show on the customer-facing 3D designer versus internal quotes.

What about delivery zones and state-by-state pricing?

Service areas and state-level pricing rules are built in. If a manufacturer only serves certain states or prices differently by region, the builder respects that automatically based on the customer's install location.

Can it handle commercial and wide-span pricing?

Yes. As long as it's in your price book, we can model it: clear-span widths, header bars, extra trusses, snow loads, and the rest. Genuinely custom engineered projects can be routed to a 'request a quote' flow instead of instant pricing.

I'm a manufacturer. Can my dealers quote off my price book?

Yes. You publish your price books by state and approve the dealers who can sell them. Approved dealers quote your buildings at their dealer terms from their own account, and you see the orders coming. Dealers request the partnership in the app; you approve it.

Leads, CRM & Messaging

Where do the leads go?

Straight into your pipeline, with the full design spec, price, and the buyer's contact info. Distribution rules can hand each new lead to the next rep in line and notify them instantly. You can also forward leads to email, a spreadsheet, or an existing CRM by webhook if you're not ready to switch.

Do I have to use your CRM?

No. The configurator can feed any system. But the built-in CRM is where the platform really pays off: quotes, contracts, e-signature, deposits, production stages, invoices, and manufacturer price books are native to it, not bolted on.

What channels does the inbox support?

SMS, email, and Facebook Messenger in one screen, with the customer's deal context (building, quote, stage) alongside the conversation. Calls, voicemails, and recordings from your business line are logged in the same place.

Can it automate follow-ups?

Yes. Stage changes trigger workflows: quote sent → follow-up task in 2 days → reminder text in 5 → escalation if no reply. You design the cadence; the system keeps it running so no lead dies of silence.

Does it track where leads come from?

Down to the exact ad. Connect Google and Facebook and every lead carries its source, campaign, and ad set, so your reports show cost per lead, cost per sale, and return on ad spend by campaign.

Is e-signature included, or do I need DocuSign?

It's built in. Contract templates fill from the order, go out as a signing link, and come back signed and attached to the deal with an audit trail. There's no per-envelope fee and nothing else to subscribe to.

Can customers pay by card?

Yes. Every invoice carries a secure payment link, and card payments post to the order automatically. Connect Stripe for hosted checkout links, or bring your own merchant account: NMI, PayTrace, and Authorize.net each plug in with the API keys your processor gives you, and customers pay on a secure card page branded to your company. Deposits and balance payments both work this way.

Marketing, Phone & AI

Which social networks can I post to?

Facebook Pages, Instagram business accounts, LinkedIn, and Bluesky today, from one composer with scheduling, repeats, templates, and a shared comments inbox. TikTok and Pinterest are in platform review and turn on automatically when approved.

Do I get a business phone number?

Yes. You get a local number that rings the web app and your cell at the same time, records calls, transcribes voicemail, and texts missed callers back. The number is registered for business texting (A2P 10DLC) so your texts deliver instead of getting filtered.

Can my customers book appointments themselves?

Yes. Set up the appointment types you run (site visits, showroom, install windows, quote calls), share the booking link in a text or on your site, and the customer picks the time. Confirmations and reminders send automatically; you can reschedule or cancel from the calendar.

What does the AI actually do?

It's early access. The AI receptionist answers inbound calls when your team can't, using only the knowledge you give it, and books appointments or hands off to a person. The Messenger assistant does the same for Facebook messages. Neither one invents a price. Your team also gets an in-app assistant for lead summaries and drafts, and a support assistant for how-do-I questions.

How much do calls, texts, and emails cost?

Calling, texting, and outbound email are pay-as-you-go from a prepaid balance on your account that auto-recharges from your card at the amount you choose ($25, $50, or $100). The current per-message, per-minute, and per-number rates are published in our Terms of Use so they're always in one place.

Can I ask customers for Google reviews from the CRM?

Yes. Send a review request by text or email from the customer's record with your Google review link in it, or put the link in a workflow text that fires after the install so it goes out on its own.

Setup, Support & Plans

How long does setup take?

A typical launch is three to five business days: price book digitization on day one, your branded builder on days two and three, team setup and training on days four and five. Complex multi-manufacturer catalogs can take longer, and we'll give you a real timeline up front.

Do you migrate my existing contacts and leads?

Yes. Contacts, leads, and open deals can be imported from spreadsheets or your current CRM as part of onboarding, with duplicates cleaned up, so your team starts with their book of business intact.

What does it cost?

Founding partners get flat founder pricing with setup included, locked in as we grow. Usage-based items (phone numbers, calls, texts, outbound email) are pay-as-you-go at the rates in our Terms of Use. Book a demo and we'll quote it straight, the same way you quote a building: a real number, not a maze.

What kind of support do we get?

Direct access. Open a ticket from the support widget in any screen, with a photo or screen recording attached, and it lands with the people who built your configurator. Founding partners aren't routed through a ticket tier, and feature requests from early partners drive the roadmap.

Who owns my data?

You do. Your leads, your customers, your price books: all yours, exportable at any time. No marketplace steering your buyers anywhere, no lock-in games.
